CorrectEdit is a proofreading and editing service based in Taupo, New Zealand, led by long-time local resident Barry Kerr. Barry is well-qualified and experienced, with a history of crafting the written word.

In order to complete a Master of Arts degree in English Literature, a high level of knowledge and skill in grammatical correctness and an appropriate sense of flow in the writing is required. As a former English teacher, he developed skills in correcting the grammatical and structural aspects of written English and providing explanations for those suggestions.

As manager of a community education and family support provider he was responsible for drawing up and proofreading employment contracts, tender documents, programme contracts, milestone reports, staff appraisal documents, policy manuals, staff references, board reports, meeting agendas and minutes, formal letters, newspaper advertisements, all of which require precise composition and meticulous scrutiny prior to publication.

He completed the NZIBS Diploma in Proofreading and Editing with Excellence and has developed skills in the proofreading of novels, short stories, poems, theses, web sites and technical documents incorporating specific technical language, charts and graphs.

He has many years of practical, sporting and hobby interests so can assist with writing on a wide range of topics. He works alongside clients and supports them to produce the results desired by the writer for each piece of work.
